To reach an accurate diagnosis the fundamental first step is to take a precise history and listen carefully to our patients. We always endeavour to do this and then make a gentle and appropriate examination. This enables the GP to form an impression of possible diagnoses and after discussion with the patient, a management plan is agreed.

This may include appropriate blood tests and other investigations to help us reach a conclusive diagnosis. When necessary, referral to a Specialist for further advice is easily arranged.
